U.S. government advice for preparing for various diasters.
This is the U.S. government's website for general preparedness for manmade and natural disasters.  Keep in mind these are the minimum recommendations.  Actual preparations for waves of the bird-flu pandemic require much more preparation.  You MUST have your own personal protective equipment, such as N95 face masks, latex gloves and protective gown, for example.  You should also purchase Tamiflu or Relenza, two anti-viral agents used to prevent or treat bird flu.
